Mid to low Sweet Spot
Natural Preparation
Designed to meet the demands of all forms of cricket, the ATOMIC features enormous edges and a ACCU-DRIVE flat face which enhances rebound and control. The mid/low profile will also help players improve their stroke play to all parts of the field.
SWEET SPOT POSITION = Mid to Low: A hybrid setup that allows some favourability to players who like to hit down the ground but still want the benefits of a mid sweet spot.
PREPARATION = Natural: Like most cricket bats this stick needs the full preparation process before use. Take a look at the tab below for more information on this process.
BOW = Standard: The regular bow found in the majority of modern cricket bats which gets your hands slightly ahead of the ball for ease of stroke play. It also helps the cricket bat feel more aggressive.
EDGES = Big: These edges are heading close to the magic 40mm mark. Big edges make for a forgiving and powerful cricket bat with a wider sweet spot. Please be aware that junior bats can still have big edges but they will be relative to 40mm due to their size.
SPINE HEIGHT = Medium: Often combined with big edges to create a forgiving bat with an extra wide hitting zone which still rewards striking the blade out of the very middle.
PROFILE SHAPE = Full: The full players style cricket bat is the peak of cricket bat production. This kind of profile is both the most powerful and most forgiving. Such a design is what you will usually see at the international level. A full profile usually means one of two things. Either the bat is constructed from high quality lightweight willow or has an above average weight.
FACE = Flat: A modern flat face helps widen the sweet spot slightly & increases the size of the edges. This style allows a 'point and shoot' approach to stroke play giving the batsman confidence what the ball will go where they're aiming. Please be aware that extra attention will need to be paid to the edges during the knocking-in process
HANDLE TYPE = Semi-Oval: A happy medium that brings the benefits of both oval & round handles. This shape aids alignment, slightly weakens the bottom hand for more controlled stroke play and still allows for creative use of the bottom hand.
TOE = Natural: This bat needs some form of toe preparation via shoe goo, a toe guard or your favourite secret recipe.
